I eagerly anticipate each new book by Chuck Pierce, and this one does not disappoint. It gives essential information about faith; what it can do, and how we can cooperate with God to increase our faith. The story about shields in the time of the Roman Empire (the time in which Scripture was written) was an incredible word picture of the shield of faith. This book has the "meat" of the Word about faith, suitable for both new believers and ones that have been around a long time (like me). It is not a long book, and easy to read. But it will take a longer time to digest, because of its rich content. I will be returning to it again, and no doubt again.
Without faith it is impossible to please God; pleasing God is very important to Christans and yet we often struggle in the area of believing...Shield of Faith helps identify areas of lack and encourages & empowers you in faith.
This is the type of book that I will keep on my nightstand and use for years to come. It is an amazing, faith-building work! This piece has stirred, inspired, encouraged, and fortified me to face the battles that all Christians have. I am part of a small group of women who are reading this together, and we all love it and recommend it highly! After the battles of life, sometimes we need to have our faith restored, reinforced, and built built to higher and stronger levels; and that's exactly what this book does.
Our Ladies Bible study group at church is using this book for study. We findit easy to read and very uplifting. For those who face trials and adversityin life this is the book to read to restore your faith! We highly recommend it.
This is an outstanding book on faith. It includes practical, easy-to-read teaching on basics such as what faith is and the enemies of faith as well as more mature teaching on how to enter a whole new dimension of faith. (Teaches about 10 levels of faith and 7 dimensions of faith -- e.g. Saving Faith, Warfare Faith, and Overcoming Faith.) This book really helped me to think through what I believe and what I actually trust in and see how to raise up my shield of faith in daily life. If you want to refocus your eyes of faith on God instead of the giants and the waves, this book is a great to start!
This book is awesome!!! I really needed it & found my faith moving to a higher level reading this book. I also found places to book mark so when I need a reminder, I can go straight to the help I need. Get one for someone you love who is going through a battle it will help them.
I felt this covered so many of my questions on the shield of faith. Chuck Pierce gives excellent visual examples and brings the subject front and center. Very helpful.
