They should give this book to every parent who has a child in elementary school. It's so helpful. It's amazing how much we have forgotten over the years (I guess we were right when we told out teachers that we'd never use that information again!)
My kiddo likes this book a lot. The only reason he does not give it a five is because he says it is strictly a dictionary, unlike his other "math dictionary" which goes more in-depth and also more fully explains the concepts rather than simply defining them.
My daughter needed this for her math class it was really informational easy for my daughter to read and understand it had bright colors and attracted my daughter to read more price wasn't bad it was hard covered witch was a plus
This math dictionary is a wonderful resource for any child in the elementary school-age category. Many different topics are covered. I was instructed how to use the LCD and LCM when I was a 3rd grader; however, the curriculum for third graders is not covering this material as yet. I simply reached for my handy dandy Math dictionary and my son was able to read and verify the info I was presenting to him. The layout is in a format that he can read and comprehend the material.
I received 5 copies of this book from a grant I received for a math library. My only regret is that I didn't request a class set. It has been the most used book in my classroom library. I will request additional copies of this book in my next grant request.
This book has helped us several times. The school is teaching a new math this year so I am even struggling with 3rd grade math. :) This definitely has helped us get through homework several times this year already.
so glad I discovered this book! Sometimes Google doesn't have the right definition you're looking for and this book breaks it down to a child's level of understanding. Which is great because now my son can work independently.
I got this for my 10 year old daughter after seeing it at our local library. I like that it is a quick and easy reference for her while she is doing her homework.
