I purchased the physical book. It is a simple paperback with Spanish and English text. It's really a lot of fun to read in Spanish with my kids, but grandparents can enjoy reading to them in English as well. Pictures are bright and fun, too! Super adorable book.
I love all of the series. I like that they are bilingual, so that Both my husband and I can read it in our native languages. We have a lot of books on English that I translate on my head, so I can read them to my daughter. My problem with this book is the spanish wording. I know this book is mean for older kids, but I read it to my 2 year old and I don't like that they translate the word bully for maton (which means killer in spanish). They used the word through most of the book. I personally replace bully for abusivo, which I think is a better fit and less intimidating for my litle one.
The Spanish to English childrens books, are great for kids from 80yrs to 3yrs!!. Everyone enjoys a story. These books help Grannies and Granpa's of dual language children, to learn another language. And also to have fun while doing it!. Thats what its all about HAVING FUN. Thanks and keep them coming.
This is a great book in English and Spanish. Great for parents that are trying to teach their children Spanish or English.
they translate troll as troll? it is DUENDE. And they use the words KILLER (maton) to describe the troll? WOW!!!. The person who translate it must be very aggressive, i guess, or not good at the job. The translation is relay bad everywhere you look.
I laughed so hard the first time I read this book with my daughter. The pictures are terrific; they play with and add a lot to the text. The translation was also well-done. Altogether, this book made an already-loved story twice as good.
This book is one of my daughter's favorite book when she was young. I purchased it this time because I am trying to learn spanish, and this book is bilingual. I love the way it is written to accommodates the Spanish language. It is a lot more fun to read, and it is much more entertaining.
I am very happy to have found this book. We are raising our child to be bilingual and having the same book written in both English and Spanish allows us a choice in which language to read the book to our child. Also, I have used this book for ESL students so that they can read in English and fully understand what they are reading in Spanish.
