Purchased this for my son in 2nd grade to use on his kindle. Perfect for homework and easy to understand for young students.

I bought this for my daughter to use on my kindle when looking up words. I like that it is very easy to navigate for a child, they give you two ways of doing so. The front gives the the letters, you would click on the first letter of the word and it will take you to the start of those words in the book. The very back of the book you can look for the word you are looking for, and click on it and take you to the word. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there are many times it doesn't have the word she is looking for, seems better suited to younger children. She is in 3rd grade so perhaps 2nd and lower would be a better time to use this dictionary.

While this dictionary has great definitions that make it easy for a child to understand, there are many words that are not included. My 2nd grader, will look up words from her school list such as: cyst, hydrogen, admirable, moveable, etc... and they are not in this dictionary. Perhaps this book is better suited for younger children or for those who are not looking up words for school, but are learning dictionary skills. This is definitely not a dictionary that aids homework.
