For second grader who is an early reader/writer and wants to set up a desk for her reading and writing area. Next to reading, her favorite literary activity is writing and illustrating stories. This desk size volume will be useable for several years.
Book missing many words that are on grand daughters spelling list. We are forced to use her brother's books to research word meanings. Don't understand why the books are missing words that are valid and found in other dictionaries.
We bought 4 of these as top prize gifts for our Sunday School kids. We love it, and so do they! Sleek hard cover, colorful pages, easy-to-read print. Really great value for a great price.
This book was assigned to my son from school. When it arrived and I started browsing it, I realized it's a great book.
I purchased the Kingfisher dictionary/thesaurus only because my child's teacher requested it. He's a third grader. I found that it does not have as much information as I would have liked. Personally, I would have chosen a more known publisher than this one.
