My husband didn't like to read the Bible very much because it was too hard to understand a lot of it. I got him this dictionary/concordance, and now he loves reading it, because he can look up what he doesn't understand. It's a very great reference book to go along with reading the Bible.
I have found this to be very helpful. It helps me to have a better understanding when studying the Bible and it helps me find the scriptures that I know but don't know exactly where they are.
This is one of the most useful tools when the computer breaks down or a nice gift for someone that does not own a computer. A+ in my book. It helped provide the answers and is compact enough for me to take places that do not have access to a computer and be able to pull up biblical references. A must have for bible study groups for new believers. I also bought one for my son and it does help cut down on questions that he has.
I began studying the Bible with my great niece and I wanted her to have an atlas, a concordance and a dictionary. This concordance and dictionary is paperback, but well-made and not so big as to be overwhelming to an 11 year old and not so costly as to be frustrating for me if it gets treated a little roughly and doesn't last as long as my "adult" mind considers okay. The point is...I want her to use it so that her Bible study experience is enhanced.This definitely gets a recommendation from me! It's a great "starter" set for the younger generation.
This is a tiny little book but has helped me many times already! Love it!
It's nice to have the dictionary and concordance in one book. I am not crazy about how the book is laid out, however.I don't use it a lot because of this fact, but instead use the layman's bible dictionary more because of the simplicity of use.
I do use this book, but not like another Concordance I have. It is interesting and easy to use, but they do not include the numerous entries that should be included under to topic looking up. For example, under "light," there are only a few entries. In my other concordance, the entries equaled 1 1/2 pages, in a font half the size of this book. If you want only a few references, this is the book to use. Otherwise look for the "Strong's" concordance. I lost my "Strong" book, only finding it later, to see what I was truly missing. It gives a little bit of information under each entry but to find how many times that subject matter is used in the Scripture, this is not the book to buy.
This little dictioary is a great find I had been looking for a Bible dictioary for a while and found this one on clerance and took a chance, it had just about every word I needed, I had looked at biger more expensive ones, they never had the words I was loking for, I would highly recomend this one.
