First i want to point out that this concordance follows the 2nd edition of NLT. If you have the first edition, some scriptures may line up and some may not. Despite that, this concordance seems to be very in depth, and lists enough words that you can almost guarantee your search will be successful. Print size is a little on the small side, but if it were not for that, it would be an almost unbearable sized book. Would definitely recommend this book. Concordances are used to help you find what God is saying to man about certain topics, such as healing, faith, patience, etc. I have had this book for 2 days now and I have gotten alot of use out of it.
I was hoping for an NLT Concordance that was identical to the feature set of Strongs. It is the standard so you'd figure that concordances for other translations would mimic it. It does list all of the words in the NLT but what doesn't tell you is the code for the Greek/Hebrew word. This presents two problems:1) There's no way to know if the English word comes from the same Greek/Hebrew word. If you're trying to study out all of the ways that a particular Greek/Hebrew word is translated into English, you can't do so .2) Without the code for the Greek/Hebrew word there's no way to dig deeper into the meaning of the word.I'll keep this but I am a little disappointed.
If you have a NLT Bible, then you need this concordance. It's an invaluable resource because it complements the NLT...makes it SOOOO much easier to find what I'm looking for. And isn't that what it's supposed to do? I have a Strong's concordance which is great for the King James version. But for my NLT reading...this is the ONLY concordance I use.
