I taken Todd's class in person and read the book and its been a great resource! Todd is extremely knowledgeable about every subject in this book and class. I would highly recommend this book and a network simulator as study tools to pass the CCENT.
I use this in conjunction with Odoms Book. This is good because Lammles book has the sybex Ace practice questions. This is why i purchased it. However, most of the diagram questions dont work. with any browser, Firefox, chrome, ie or in compatibility mode. When thats a selling point of a book i take that into consideration/. I will admit however that this book is needed to pass along with odoms book/ Final grade B. A if it fixes the study questions.
Great book. Very easy to read and understand. I also attended Todd's class. He is very knowledgeable and a great instructor.
The books seems to cover the proper details, but not in a way that enabled me to build a base knowledge and then fill in on top of it. This is a personal thing. I purchased the Wendell Odom book fom Cisco Press, and it lays things out more clearly for me.My recommendation would be to get each book and see which one works better for you personally.
