An excellent study book for an individual or to teach in a group. A good selection by The United Methodist Conference of 2004 for clergy and laity.
This is not your ordinary book for Sunday School which is where we are using it. It is better for a study group, but we are finding that it has a trememdous amount of information, to help us understand the United Methodist Church's stand on the Lord's Supper, we well as that of historical Methodism, back to John Wesley. I purchased this as a textbook but have used it to prepare teaching sermons on communion. It is full of helpful information and is easy to understand. It is designed so that it could be a short-term Bible study as well as a class curriculum.
