This book details the difference between Jedi and Sith, depicting a number from each side. I would have loved if it went into some detail about each one and what makes them unique; even one sentence would do. The book is incredibly short and doesn't give the names of most of the characters. It also gives a major spoiler about Anakin and Vader. My 4 year old thinks this book is cool and the illustrations are colorful, which is why I rated it 3 stars.
Our son's name is Valor Anakin Skywalker Dillard so this was perfect for him. I read it to him occasionally and especially love the fact it covers the transition from Anakin to Vader on a split page. Official Golden Book so you know the quality of pages and binding are solid,a short easy read for all you star wars nerds out there.
We collect Little Golden Books and have probably 200 that range in publication date from the 1950s to the present. My 4.5 and 2.5 year olds love all things Stat Wars and we got them this set as an incentive for keeping their playroom clean. The books themselves are great. The illustrations are beautiful. The violence that is necessary for plot advancement is not gratuitous and doesn't ever use the words kill or dead or death. (If I recall correctly, a lot of people expire.)Length is perfect for bedtime reading. Some good stuff for vocabulary building. The two and a half year old asked to wear his crimson shorts the other day.In short: great for Star Wars lovers of all ages!
Nice book, good illustrations, etc. etc. Unfortunately, it ruins the surprise of Anakin/Vader and I don't want to spoil that until my kids see Empire. Only reason I'm not giving it a higher rank.
Gift for great granddaughter. She loved it.
My grandson loves these books. Very inexpensive and quite well made, as would be expected from "Little Golden Book".
We were SO excited to get these books! My son LOVES this one because of Yoda. I am really loving the SW Golden Books.
My son decided after reading this that he "always wants to pretend to be a jedi" . Can't ask for much more than that.
