I got this book for my 3 year old, but also used it to teach the kids in Bible class. This book doesn't cover all the miracles of Jesus as the title implies, but focuses on two specific miracles: the feeding of the 5,000 and Jesus walking on the water. It is well written, beautifully illustrated, and helped spotlight two great Bible stories.
Not too many specific miracles given. Does give that he healed the sick, Jesus walking on the water and feeding of the five thousand. It is a short story as Little Golden Books are. Illustrations good for young children.
Got this book for my granddaughter who is 3. This will be nice for her for a few years. It is not too babyish. The story of Jesus is told well here. The artist's depictions are some of the best I've seen. The faces, clothes, colors, background, are really nicely done. They look like real people, not caricatures like so many books! The detail in the pictures is very full. I would buy this again in a minute. I actually did by a second one to have at my house as well.
I guess this could be a good book for people who don't actually read the Bible, but if you do read the New Testament you will be seriously disappointed with this book. Jesus preformed MANY miracles, but this book only deals with 2 (and doesn't even cover those that well). The pictures are nice, but the writing is mediocre. Mostly I'm disappointed because I thought I was purchasing a children's book that would cover the miracles of Jesus (like the cover says), but this isn't it.
I was looking for a small book to give the children in my 1st grade church school class and found this book the perfect item to reinforce the lessons of Jesus and the miracles he used to show his love and compassion.Carol Wilusz.CCD teacher
I bought these for my grandson so that he has a book of his own when he accompanies my wife and I or his parents to church. They are time tested children's books
Love golden books and so very glad they have ones about Jesus. I am sure my grandson will love being read these stories.
My little 5 year old granddaughter loved it especially the pictures.
