We received our pre-order copy of Pinkalicious: Flower Girl the other day and it is really great. It is another one of those very happy stories with Pinkalicous and her brother Peter being happy kids. The best part about the story was that it was very positive throughout. Some of the Pinkalicious books have had some negativity to them where there was a dislike for pink from some mean girl types that Pinkalicous ran into that didn't really make for a fun read. Not in this story. It is all about Pinkalicous overhearing her mother on the phone finding out that Pinkalicious is going to be a Flower Girl in her cousin's wedding. Peter even wants to play along. The misunderstanding that ensues goes from the kids dressing up as flowers and skipping through the yard to them throwing baking flower all over the kitchen. Lets just say, they didn't quite understand what it meant to be a flower girl. It turns out to be a really funny story. My girls really enjoyed the book, which is the most important part of all.Long story short, the book has a positive and fun story with a happy ending, great artwork and is a great reading book for young readers. One of the best Pinkalicious books so far. Five Stars. Highly Recommended.
I am a SMART reader in Oregon. We try to boost reading for children who otherwise might not be readers. The Pinkalicious stories are very popular with the girls who are likely to think that this story is Pinkatastic! It certainly made this 70 year old laugh!
My daughters love Pinkalicious books, and we added this one to the collection. It's a cute story, perfect for young kids. I love the affordable price of these paperbacks. We can collect them all without paying a lot.
It's cute, goes along with all the ther pink-alicious books - and is a fun little gift for all of my flower girls. Suitable for all ages under 10. I'll write a note to each one for being so terrriffic! A fun book to remember their special day as a Flower girl!!
This book is cute, but I feel doesn't very well describe a flower girl of what is really coming. Most of the book is about the girls view of what a flower girl is. My niece loves all of Pinkalicious books though, so I know she'll enjoy it.
Ordered this book for my 4 year old daughter to introduce her to the idea of being a flower girl for her aunt's wedding in a few months. The book is fantastic, beautifully designed and illustrated. Pinkalicious is a much better role model then so many of the characters she watches on TV.
Wonderful gift bag treat for your flower girl!I added it, along with the "Fancy Nancy" flower girl book and "Disney Princesses" brides sticker book, to an activity bag for my flower girl. She was obsessed with it for the weeks leading up to the wedding!
I've been looking for a book for my 3 yr old daughter to get into. We've tried a lot. She likes reading with me but it's hard to keep her attention. Usually she wants to turn the page after a few words lol. But she loves these pinkalicious books. They are perfect for her. Girly, informative and just enough words on the pages for her not to lose interest. She wants all of them. These are awesome books.
