My 2-1/2 year granddaughter is expecting a baby sister. She's very excited - as much as she can understand - and is looking forward to meeting her "Little Miss" in a month or so. I bought Amy Krouse Rosenthal's adorable book, "Little Miss, Big Sis" for the "Big Sis", and she loves the book. Let's hope she greets "Little Miss" with as much enthusiasm!
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter to announce to her she was finally getting her wish. It's a great book. Fun and easy bedtime read. It's not a detailed this is what babies look like and do. It's not detailed in the how mommy's belly is changing. It's just a fun look from a child's point of view of how life is changing with a younger sibling. It's covers the fun times (playing, coloring) and the not so fun things (hair pulling, crying). This is a great book and I'd recommend it.
Amazing! Wonderful! I love this 'big sister' book and I've read quite a few. This is my favorite. The simple Peter H. Reynolds illustrations are delightful as per usual. Rhyming text from Amy Krouse Rosenthal is enlightening and covers more than just the initial excitement and then chaos. Every big sister should get this book!
We received this as a gift for my daughter as she was going to become a big sister. She loves the book. It's simple with easy to remember rhymes. We decided to buy it to gift to our friends' daughter who is also going to be a big sister. It has great illustrations as well. My 4 year old daughter already knows the book pretty much verbatim. We also have 2 other Big Sister books that we bought and this is by far our favorite one. Highly recommended.
Cute story and one of my daughter's favorites. I got it to help explain to my toddler that she was going to be a big sister. I think it worked because she loves her sister and is always trying to help like in the book. The cover is hard, but the pages are paper; a board book version would have been nice.
Little Miss, Big Sis is a great book to read to your little one if you have another on the way. We are expecting our third child and bought this book to prepare our 2 year old daughter for the changes that will be coming. The Illustrations are cute and grabs her attention every night we read. She easily identifies herself as 'Little Miss". Much better than some of the other books we purchased last time we were expecting. The last books weren't as straight forward and simple to follow as "Little Miss, Big Sis".1. Really good Illustrations.2. Hardcover.3. Very easy to follow along with the rhyming.4.
