First of all, this book is gorgeous. Full-color illustrations throughout of beautiful stained glass from around the world, photographed by Dominican friar Lawrence Lew, are perfectly matched to the text. The guide contains all of the traditional Catholic prayers and others less well-known, accompanied by helpful ways to incorporate prayer into modern family life. A perfect choice for young families and new converts, or anyone wanting to infuse their home life with more prayer and blessings.
I highly recommend this beautiful book to anyone looking for something to bring the family together in prayer. In addition to being a practical collection of prayers, it contains thoughtful explanations of these prayers to better understand the why and when some of these prayers should be used. The artwork on the cover is just a sampling of the images you'll find on almost every page. The art is a treat for the eyes that even my youngest children find fascinating. I enjoyed the history, stories and instructions that are sure to help me and my family in our prayer life. This would make a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift!
This is a beautiful, excellent, thorough book for families. I think the Sisters did an excellent job; I think this would be an excellent gift for a family with young children, or those with teenagers.
This book is super absolutely brilliant. I see so many avenues as my kids get older to increase our prayer life as a family. It's full of useful and practical tips. Really fits the title - how to pray as a family.
Love this book!!! I think it will help our family to enrich our prayer life together and has some good explainations of some of the "whys" that my toddler asks that I may have forgotten the answers too!
