Purchased this as a general activity book to use with a Pre-K/KG playgroup. Quality of illustrations are not exemplary but average compared with most other Islamic books for kids (unfortunately). Activities are ok but somewhat repetitive - most are geared towards older kids but with some explanation and guidance/supervision, they can work for younger children (though it won't hold their attention long). A big pet peeve - the improper use of "Jazakallah" and "barakallah" instead of the correct phrasing of "Jazakum Allahu Khair" and "Barak Allah feekum." While an unfortunate habit in some parts of the non-Arabic-speaking Muslim world, that is still no excuse for using incorrect Islamic terms. "Jazakallah" and "barakallah" are technically speaking, incomplete sentences, and roughly translate to "Allah give" and "Allah bless" instead of the appropriate "Allah give you good" and "Allah bless you," respectively. This seemingly small but important oversight shows that the author did not take the time or effort to research about the correct terminology. Given that this is an Islamic book geared towards educating and reinforcing Islamic concepts with children, it is a major fail and a source of misinformation for both children and non-Arabic speakers. There are several English spelling errors as well throughout the book - all things considered, save your money and use a different book.

AGAIN- I reverted less than two years ago and it has been confusing for my children then ranging 1-12 and so finding these books they have been useful this one is one of my now 6, 9, 12 and 14 year olds favorites it gives them pride in their Muslim identity and helps them learn the vocabulary of their new world as well.

This a very good book. It took 2-3 weeks fir it to arrive but was worth waiting for. The various activities attract children. My son is 4.5 years and he enjoyed the mazes. He as well followes some of the islamic manners such as sitting at the table and eating rather than eating while watching tv. I do recommend it.

Wish there was more books like it
