I was disappointed in this book. Usually love the Charlie books--this one just didn't quite flow. Actually, I thought the one I received was missing pages so I went to bookstore to check another copy. Nope, theirs was the same so I gave it to grandson. Son in law read it and then went back through it thinking he'd missed a page or two. Not up to par.
My just turned 4 year old grandson Jake loved this book. His 13 year old sister and I will make the recipes when I visit. Author, Ree Drummond is a marketing, cooking, blogging, writing, photographing, home schooling, Food Channel star and genius! She and hubby Ladd have an active ranching life and all the rest of stardom! Somehow they remain down to earth and entertaining! Their dog Charlie is a real ranch dog and the whole series of "I can read" Charlie books are great gifts for my grandson! (and me!)
Great book. I started buying the Ree Drummond Charlie books for my granddaughter. She loves them. These books cover different areas that children run into sometimes and they help them to understand stuff. Keep them coming.
So happy Ree is adding more books! I read to my son with Charlie the puppet, before bedtime. It is helping him with his words and talking, as he is delayed. Charlie is just too cute and the books are simple and he is motivated to get a word out here and there. Love these books!
this easy to read book with great illustrations - kids get scared when they go to the doctor because everything is strange and they can easily relate to the plight of the dogs and cats because they don't understand either.
Great stories my 2 1/2 year old grandson loves them - there is a small chipmuck that show up on almost ever page that he loves - we make a little funny sound for him - great idea to add (author)
My granddaughter really liked this book. The story was different (about a sick dog going to the vet) than most of readers we have read so far. Illustrations are superb.
Our grandson absolutely LOVES this series. Adorable character, fun adventures that little ones enjoy immensely, and wonderful artwork!
