It's a great collection of all Moomin comic strips. And - of course they are black and white, they were b/w originally! Very fun reading + great quality, as usual Fantagraphics has + bonus scetches and drawings from the author.
Thank you Tove for all your life's work. Our grandchildren, children and we relish the moments of delight Moomin brings. The book is exquisite and it is mostly black and white since that is how the originals were done. There is nothing better than a day with Moomin and a great cup of coffee.
Marvelous, un-pc, funny stories that take unexpected turns and delight old and young alike. I know this because I've been reading them aloud to my grandchildren, ages 6 and 9, and the stories are in hot demand. The edition is wonderful.
i am from overseas, so happy to receive it before Christmas, it is a big book sure would bring so much joy for a long time reading. Moomin is very cute and have funny thoughts to things, so adorable. No idea why some nuts are complaining the book. The drawings are very beautifully illustrated, I already laughed a lot to the first few pages, 400+ pages to read !! Oh it would enlighten my days...
Moomin, so innocent and honest and cute. I love this book. As gigantic as it is, I take it out of the protective carton when I take breaks at work and read it on my desk. Moomin's simplicity grounds me.
This was part of my childhood. Delight full reprint of the original cartoons. Yes they are black and white line drawings, wonderfully outlining the mumin (original spelling) characters. They are still as quaint and wonderful as ever.
Wonderful Books. This Set contains 2 large volumes of the complete Tove Jansson's, Moomin's newspaper Strips from the popular London newspaper The Evening News in 1954, in English. Tove Jansson drew and wrote all the strips until 1959. It's a wonderfully put together set, with lots of little extra's & info. It is in Black & white through ;)
We bought this for our nursery and it does not disappoint! All the Moomin strips in one addition! Hindsight has me thinking our little one won't be able to pick it up for a few years bc it's so big, but that's my own fault. I love this book! I esp like the sketches in the back. Very nice!
