This book is okay, and a nice translation, but incomplete. The actual original book is much fuller and richer. It does say that it isn't the entire book, and I appreciate the honesty.
I've been practicing Buddhist meditation for over 15 years and just got curious about my own tradition. Mussar seems close to the practice I have so I checked it out with this book. It's a great book and, yes, it's extremely similar to the practice I love. Very highly recommend it.
Great little book. It is a treasure for anyone interested in elevating one's heart and mind to the realm of the eternal.
