I have used this book personally and with small groups during divorce recovery. It is practical and helps to normalize the fear, anger, resentment and other feelings that arise out of the marital loss. It teaches us how to get on the right track to recovery and forgiveness. It really does give us tools and insights to move beyond divorce rather than remain feeling vicitmized. An easy read with a thoughtful, interactive plan to rebuild life.
We recently used Chapter One and it was fantastic. Everyone verbally participated with their questions or stories. We will continue to use via a chapter a meeting. Still don't know how well people who come to our meetings mid-stream will fold into the group and topics.
I run a program for divorced and separated. This book really concentrates on the newly divorced. A lot of the questions didn't apply to the recently separated
