I love this book. My dad is my sons only grandpa (due to my husbands father passing away before he was born) and we have an incredibly close relationship which makes this book particularly special. The pictures are wonderful and the story is really sweet.I recommend buying I love you, mommy, daddy and grandma to go with this one.I Love you, Grandpa is hands down my favorite (even over I Love you, Mommy!)
I believe another reviewer said it well that it doesn't accurately reflect the grandfather/grandchild relationship. I was very disappointed because I was going to give this to my father, from my son, on Father's Day. Also, one of the pages was poorly printed and the words were much darker and thicker than the other pages along with the picture being off. I ended up donating the book.
The kiddos got this book for Pap pap on Father's Day and each wrote little notes inside. The book is very cute and the sentimental meaning behind it will last a long time! Every time he comes over he brings the book and is able to read it with the kids making memories that will last forever.
This is a great gift for a child to give to a grandparent!!! My dad loved it when my son brought it to him!! He said that it meant to much to him and that he now has something that he can read with him. It will be something that he can remember forever!!
Very sweet book for our grandson who is just under age 2. He loves books and although this is a bit old for him, he will 'grow' into the story in the not too distant future. Lovely pictures and sentiment. Highly recommend for anyone who is a parent or grandparent. I bought grandma and grandpa for 'our' baby.
I gave this book my father in law from my kids. He isn't sentimental but he loved it. My 4 yr old makes him read it to him everytime we go over :-)
I was so excited to get this book for my daughter to give to my Dad on Father's Day. There was nothing unique about it. While the illustrations were nice and sweet, it really didn't represent the grandfather/grandchild relationship all that well.
Ordered this book and the interior (the story) was not what the description stated. Totally different coloring and font. Must have been a mix up when it went to printing. I told - they sent me new book with proper story. The story line is really cute!! A must read with grandpas!!
