I gave the first book 3 stars, but it doesn't get more predictable than this. The dialogue was worse and unoriginal. In the first book Nathan was unique due to his blood lines, now the remaining survivors of Elderwood are all super mages as strong or stronger than the mages in the land of magic or super warriors with little training. Won't read the the next one.

The story was good but not as exciting as the first. The quality of the writing degraded a bit overall and was even worse by the end. Either the author enlisted less skilled help or was half asleep when writing. In addition, the details and depth that made the first book interesting were lacking here, seemingly in exchange for a more fast-paced story at the end. I assume this was the author's attempt to pick up the pace after it lagged in the middle. This book could have been much better with some decent editing.

The book was a quick read. It kept my interest, and I found it humorous in places. If you enjoy magic and coming of age stories, this book will suit you. I enjoy the growth of the young ladies as well as the young men.

Very good. Yes there was some grammer errors but move past them. Also the book is "cliché" in some aspects but with millions and millions of books out there they all are cliché. This is a fantasy novel and from a gamer perspective it flows greatly. I read this as one big adventure that flows and can only keep going. I am hoping the author keeps producing and telling stories. Try and not get bogged down with the details and enjoy the story for what it is.

I found the story good. There were quite a few grammatical errors. It's as if there was no prof reading done to the book before the release. I don't know who is transcribing this but "anyways" is not the proper use of the English language. It seems that when we get a person from the north east or the mid west that is writing the story, they have to interject the word "anyways" into the story even when it's not required.

Still in dire need of editing! I had hoped the editing would improve but sadly it hasn't. Wideman is a wonderful storyteller with well-developed characters, settings, and plots. Unfortunately, her writing skills leave much to be desired. Great story if you can overlook poor grammar and word usage.

This book had a great story that made me want to read more of this author's books, but there were a few inconsistencies and the grammar threw me off at some points. It didn't take away from the story, but the immersion of a great scene was ruined when having to read it twice over.

The continued story of Stormblood is reveling more of the growth of this party of adventure's along with unforseen twists and new friends. As with previous books the story can stand alone but enrich the series.
