The essays in this book tell it like it is for teenagers and their issues. The students in my 8th grade class can't get enough of it. Whenever there's a free moment to read, at least one of them (sometimes the reluctant readers, too) will ask to borrow the book. The book is set up in categories such as "Body Image" and "Depression", etc. which makes it easy to pick an essay that may pertain to the subject you wish to address. If you are a teacher or a parent of a teenager, this book could prove invaluable.
This book is an excellent compilation of stories by teens who have struggled in many different areas. I found the book provided an interesting look at the hardships teens go through in this day in age. The heartache and maturity that comes through in these writings is truly unmatchable.
