It's difficult to find stories that will capture the imagination of my 7 yo son, as reading is a bit of a struggle for him right now. I was happy to land on this series and we are now onto number 6. My 5 yo boy also likes them. We all curl up in my king-sized bed with my Kindle at night, and I read to them. Sometimes the books they like drive me crazy, but I find that I'm enjoying these right along with them. The occasional sketched pictures are good for breaking up the text for them. They also love pressing their fingers on words to highlight in the Kindle's dictionary, as well as swiping the pages. Anything that keeps them reading makes me happy!

Must get it is very interesting it is particularly brilliant for ages 9 and above since it helps open up a kids mind for adventure. I am an adult and I read it too! I have to say it is very good, lots of good vcop . Vocabulary , openers , connective , punctuation.
We all loved reading it together. Stat at 1 and read them all. Fun and young kid friendly. Talks a lot about doing the right thing.
This book was awesome I've read it 5 times and am going to read it again but I think honestly that there are a lot of spelling that needs to be checked even some sentences that need to be checked and fixed but overall this is one of the BEST BOOKS EVER. So if you will share and tell other people about this book thanks again I'll be reviewing any future diary of a sixth grade ninja books bye peeps
My 10 yo godson dived into the entire Ninja series I sent him with great gusto. His reading ability has been assessed at age 13-14, but he was very taken with the story of a boy his own age. It motivated him to get away from Minecraft video games and into another venue disappearing all too fast: printed ink on paper fueling imagination. Cudos to Emerson for keeping this alive. :)
Trying to find the right books that could get my son interested in reading was hard, until I came across this series and the War series (Lunch Room, Snow Ball, etc). Now I have to tell him to stop reading and do his chores...but I do love the fact that he's an avid reader now (:
We are a regular readers of this series. It was enjoyable but not as much as the earlier books. The plot was too obvious in this one. Still a good read for children. Note my child is dictating this review.
