In an age that grants plausibility to every idea and certainty to none...WHAT CAN YOU BELIEVE'If you've ever wandered a mall, browsed a bookstore, or explored the Internet, you've seen the evidence: We live in a culture desperately searching for meaning. Like the ancient Greeks, we are haunted by questions. Where did this world come from' Why am I here' As individuals and as a society, we are restless, longing for something, or someone, to believe in.There are perhaps millions of potential answers—but only one truth that wholly explains, resolves, and offers hope for the plight of man. Of this life-giving message, Peter, the disciple of Jesus Christ, wrote: "e;Even angels long to look into these things."e; Within these pages, author Alistair Begg explores "e;these things"e; more fully, offering fresh insights into the mystery and power of the gospel account and presenting a convincing argument to all those seeking answers to the meaning of life.

Clear and inspired instruction from a teacher who gets it right. Compares favorably with C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity."

A. Begg clearly talks about what it means to be a Christian. I think this is an excellent resource for Christians and also a book that will cause non-Christians to think again about their beliefs and consider Christ.

This book reminded me a lot of "More Than a Carpenter" which I prefer over this book, becuase of the ways you can use "More Than a Carpenter" but this book was well put together, flows very easily and a quick read for those wanted some basic answers to the Christian faith.Alistair Begg is a great teacher and pastor and this book is definitely a picture of how he teaches and that is making some hard subjects easy to understand. If you own "More Than a Carpenter" there is no need to pick up this book as they are very similar in content and defense.

A wonderful book written in the easy style of Allistair Begg, deep, thoughtful, and delightfully clever prose. It is a resource that truly fulfills the subtitle of "The Basics of True Christianity. It warms your heart, especially if you have been fortunate enough to have heard Rev. Begg speak in person.

Pastor Begg, a phenomenal teacher and speaker, presents the gospel in a straightforward manner. This is a good overview of basic Christian beliefs and is a quick read. This book is in the C.S. Lewis tradition in terms of style and theology.

What Angels Wish They Knew has come to me in a really difficult time of doubt. I am being renewed in my faith as I read and contemplate what Alistair writes. I have been drawn back to God's word. So all in all its really been good for me.
