I love this book! I feel like we as girls do not get a clear view on sex. It is tainted and clouded by what society tells us. As Christian girls, sex is still clouded and is a tabboo topic within the church. Jennifer Strickland does an amazing job laying it all out. She is raw an honest (which is what we need frankly). She utilizes real, relatable stories and scripture. This book is for all girls: the broken, the pure, the hurting, the innocent, married, unmarried, EVERYONE! I highly recommend this book!
This is a breath of fresh air for Christians... it's been so long since we've seen these values promoted in media. Finally! - something that speaks the words I want my daughter to hear! Thank you for a message of truth that is derived from His Truth in the tough issues our kids are dealing with today. This is a written guidance I longed for as a teen as I attempted to determine God's Word on tough topics. If you have a daughter going off to college, this is is message that helps her protect herself and it would be the best gift you could give her.
Solid truths that aren't sugar-coated. This is a must read book for any young woman, but even us "over forties" can learn a thing or two from it. I really enjoyed the personal stories, the conviction with which Jennifer writes on this topic, and the way she so clearly dispels each myth. If you are tired of "squishy" Christian books on the topic of sex, choose this one. It doesn't dance around the issues! Loved it.

However, I do agree with what Jennifer said about loving people and treating them with respect.I do highly recommend this book as a great resource for all. 21 myths and 21 truths is the best book I've read on the truth about sex ! as I read I was thinking " where was this book when I was a young girl becoming a young woman?"! exceeded my expectations ! brilliant book ! this is an excellent book to read with your daughters AND sons:) this book brings hope faith love and healing. you will hear and know the Father's heart regarding sex:)
I'm not sure what exactly I thought this book would be, but I was definitely wrong. This was really just a religious book. There were lots of scripture quotes and a few Bible stories that I enjoyed, but other than that it was just quick little stories about women who have had abortions and things like that, along with a section about STDs. The book was kind of just opinion based (I'm not dissing religion in any way, I'm referring to the stories the author provided as support). I would've liked the stories a little better if each person's had been told all at once, instead of being broken up into little sections with a bunch of others' stories in between each section. Overall, I don't really think that it can accurately be described as a myth/fact type of thing; it's more like a "God loves you and there's hope for you even if you do any of this stuff" type book, but it was okay.Note: I read this book for free via NetGalley.
