I had the CCNA, CCDA, and CCNA Voice which were due to expire in March 2015, so I figured I'd go for the Data Center cert to extend out the three certs I already have, plus get a new one. CCNA DC has 2 exams the 640-911 and the 640-916, and this book covers the 911. There is no book on the 916 from either Todd or Cisco press right now, so I decided to take a Global Knowledge CCNA DC bootcamp, which covered both the 911 and the 916. I read Todds book and took the bootcamp before taking the 911 exam, which I passed. I planned on taking the 916 before my other certs expired in March.That being said, if you have no hands on experience with Nexus and only read Todds book for the 911, you will NOT pass the current 911 exam. Perhaps the exam changed since Todd released the book, but as other reviewers have said, there is a lot on the exam that is nowhere in Todds book. What really annoyed me was the test itself; the stuff that was not in Todds book that was on the test was really stuff that in my opinion did not make you 640-911 qualified or not. They didn't quite ask questions like "what color is a Nexus 5000 series", but I thought there were questions that were just as irrelevent in my opinion - but if you didn't know the answers to those, you would get the question wrong. The Global Knowledge course filled in those blanks, but that was not the reason I took that class; I took it to prepare for the 916 test.To be fair, what Todd did have in his book was good information, and as with his other books, the material was clearly presented and accurate, with his usual chapter questions, flash cards, etc.
